House Speaker Lord Allan Jay Velasco on Friday applauded his colleagues as he commended and thanked them for the on-time final reading approval of the 2021 General Appropriations Bill. He said despite differences in their viewpoints, House members have proven to the Filipino people that they could actually work together and get things done. House Bill 7727 or the GAB, which provides for a P4.5-trillion national budget next year, was overhelmingly approved by House members with 257 affirmative and six negative votes, as well as zero abstention. The approval successfully capped the four-day marathon special session called by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte for the House to pass the GAB.
