OFW REPATRIATION IN CHINA

The Committee on Overseas Workers Affairs, chaired by Rep. Raymond Democrito Mendoza (Party-list, TUCP), on Tuesday was updated by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and the Department of Heath (DOH) on the situation of overseas Filipino workers in China, Hong Kong and Macau in light of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus outbreak. Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Sarah Arriola reported that 30 repatriates from Wuhan, China have already been turned over to the DOH and quarantined at the New Clark City in Capas, Tarlac. Meanwhile, Dr. Gloria Balboa, Director IV of the DOH Health Emergency Management Bureau assured that all the repatriates are asymptomatic.
