Former President and now House Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on Tuesday led the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement which provides for the turnover by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) of the Armor Village Housing in Bgy. San Jose, Gusu, Zamboanga City to its actual bonafide residents, as provided for by Presidential Proclamation 531. Others who signed the MOA were officials of the Presidential Management Staff (PMS), National Housing Authority (NHA), CAAP, and Armor Village Homeowner’s Association (AVHA). Issued by Speaker Arroyo during her presidency in 2004, Presidential Proclamation 531 declared certain parcels of land of the public domain located in San Jose Gusu, Zamboanga City as socialized housing site. It provides for their disposition to their actual bonafide occupants, and placing them under the administration of the NHA, in accordance with the provisions of Republic Act No. 7279, and Executive Order No. 131, Series of 2002. The MOA signing was held at the Social Hall of the House of Representatives.
