In his message at the first flag raising ceremony of the House of Representatives for 2019, Minority Leader Danilo Suarez recognized the efforts of the House officials and staff in helping fulfill the duties of the chamber. Suarez, who has been a House Member for almost two decades and is now on his last term, underscored that behind the success of the institution are the House Members being ably supported by the Secretariat and the Congressional staff. Suarez, one of the authors of Republic Act 8794 or the “Motor Vehicle User’s Charge Law,” then acknowledged the accomplishments of the Road Board, claiming that it has served its purpose. He also remembered the late Rep. Rodel Batocabe (Party-list AKO BICOL), who was one of the Deputy Minority Leaders. He said he could write a book about the many accomplishments of the Party-list AKO BICOL. | Molie Gonzales/Gilbert Engay
