Rep. Reynaldo Umali exhorts officials and staff of the House of Representatives to make a difference by helping other people, thereby making their institution proud of them. Umali, chairman of the committee on justice, issued the challenge in his remarks as guest speaker during the flag-raising ceremony of the House on Monday. He noted that the 17th Congress faced a lot of challenges in tackling proposals such as the Bangsamoro Basic Law, charter change, federalism, and reforming the criminal justice system, among others. However, he pointed out that House Members have done their part and worked hard, as shown in the long hours spent on committee and plenary deliberations. With the example set by the lawmakers, Umali urged members of the institution's work force to follow suit. "Make a difference, leave a legacy and make people proud of our service to our constituents." Umali said. / R. B. Bundang/ G. Engay
