the deployment of migrant workers only to receiving countries compliant with any of the three guarantees provided by law, as certified by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) through a certification issued to the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA)
- Repatriation/ evacuation of OFWs from Syria
- Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Philippines and Lebanon concerning the protection of OFWs
- Deployment ban of OFWs in Afghanistan (outside the United States Military Base)
- Deployment of household service workers (HSWs) in Saudi Arabia
Update on the following OFW cases:
- The “Los Angeles 11” case, which is the subject of the Privilege Speech of Deputy Speaker Lorenzo Tañada III calling attention to human trafficking cases involving Filipinos in the US
- The case of “Nadia,” an OFW raped in Saudi Arabia, which is part of the report of the Congressional Mission to Saudi Arabia
Presentation by the new POEA administrator, Atty. Hans Leo Cacdac, on the POEA’s 7-point agenda
Discussion on the criteria for the profiling of departing OFWs by Philippine immigration officers at the airports
